Backpacking continues to be a very popular activity throughout North
America and the world. Besides a compass, map, comfortable hiking boots
and a durable backpack one of the most important items that backpackers
need to survive is water and a way to purify it. Without enough water,
the muscles and organs of backpackers cannot perform that well and lack
of drinking water can make backpackers more susceptible to hypothermia
and altitude sickness.

Expedition:
The Expedition
water filtration system uses a process called
forward osmosis, providing clean drink
without the difficult sucking or pumping typical of in-line filters, and without
the use of harsh chemicals. The dual-chambered reservoir can be filled either
with clean water through its round port, or quickly filled with any dirty water
supply (including urine) through the wide roll-top opening for filtration. Just dip,
zip and go. Very little
effort or time is required of the user. And because there is no hydraulic
pressure involved, the Expedition personal water filtration system will never clog, unlike every other filter
technology.
